Fireflies.ai is an AI meeting assistant that automatically joins online meetings, transcribes the conversation and, immediately afterward, delivers a structured summary with action items and discussion topics. The tool joins as a separate participant in Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Webex and processes the audio in the background, so you can focus entirely on the conversation.

How does Fireflies.ai work?

Fireflies uses a proprietary ASR pipeline (speech recognition) supplemented by a large language model for the summary and topic extraction. Speakers are automatically identified based on voice patterns and can be labeled manually.

Afterward, the host receives an email with the full transcription, an AI summary, speaker statistics and the ability to listen to specific fragments via timestamp links.
