What is Activepieces?

Activepieces is an open-source automation platform that serves as a self-hostable alternative to Zapier and Make. It enables teams to build visual workflows that connect a wide range of applications without code. Because the platform can run on your own servers, all data and integrations stay within your own environment — ideal for strict privacy requirements or the processing of personal data.

How does Activepieces work?

Activepieces is built with TypeScript and deployed via Docker with a single docker-compose command. In the browser you work with a visual flow editor in which you combine triggers and actions as blocks. Webhooks, cron triggers and event-based triggers are supported out of the box.

AI steps are baked in as first-class components: you call OpenAI or other LLM providers directly within a workflow for text generation, classification or extraction, without having to build a separate API integration.
