How does Sora work?

Sora uses a diffusion transformer model trained on large amounts of video content. The system understands spatial relationships, time progression and causal connections in video — resulting in temporally consistent videos where objects and characters move coherently through the scene.

Users describe the desired video in text — style, camera angle, lighting conditions, characters, action — and Sora generates multiple variations. Videos can be refined via editing tools: merging scenes, adjusting styles, adding objects.
