What is Midjourney?
Midjourney is one of the most well-known and most widely used AI image generation tools in the world. How does Midjourney work?
Midjourney works (historically) via Discord: users send a prompt via a Discord bot and receive four generated images. They can request variations, upscale or start new generations. Midjourney now also offers a web interface via midjourney.com for paid users.
The model is trained on an extensive dataset of images and is particularly good at interpreting artistic style descriptions. Prompts like "in the style of impressionism" or "cyberpunk aesthetic" are excellently interpreted.

Comparison
