On July 17, 2025, OpenAI launched ChatGPT agent, a system that autonomously executes computer tasks using its own browser and tools.

The agent combines the browser of Operator, the web analysis of deep research, and the conversational power of ChatGPT. It selects which capabilities to use to complete a task.
Available for subscribers
ChatGPT agent became available to Pro, Plus, and Team users and was another step toward autonomous AI.
