Mixture-of-experts
Llama 4 used a mixture-of-experts architecture with 17 billion active parameters. Scout offered an exceptional context window of up to 10 million tokens and fit on a single NVIDIA H100 GPU.
Meta back in the race
After a year's pause in top models, Llama 4 brought Meta back into the competition for the best open model.
