What is Kaedim?
Kaedim is an AI tool that converts images or text descriptions into game-ready 3D models. It automates one of the most time-consuming tasks in game development: manually modeling 3D assets. For game studios, VR developers and 3D artists, Kaedim offers a way to produce assets significantly faster.
How does Kaedim work?
Kaedim uses a combination of diffusion-based image generation and 3D reconstruction techniques. Users upload a 2D reference image or provide a text description, and Kaedim generates a 3D mesh ready for use in game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
The generated models are optimized for real-time rendering: they have a low polygon count (low poly) for good performance in games, and the textures are automatically generated and applied.
Core features
- Image-to-3D — converts 2D references into 3D models
- Text-to-3D — describe an object and receive a 3D model
- Game-ready output — optimized meshes for Unity and Unreal
- Automatic texturing — textures are automatically generated
- API access — integrate Kaedim into existing production pipelines
Advantages
- Dramatic time savings in producing 3D assets
- Lowers the barrier for indie game developers
- Directly exportable to popular game engines
Disadvantages
- Quality is less than hand-modeled assets for high-end productions
- Limited to non-extreme complexity
Who is it for?
Kaedim is ideal for indie game developers, small game studios, VR developers and 3D artists who need to produce large quantities of assets quickly.
